Boil Water Advisory

N/C 20264245

A Boil Water Advisory is in effect for the following customers: Beginning at 1868 Saltwell Road Continuing to 595 Tomahawk Road, this will include Preston’s Branch Plaza, Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Martin County Maintenance Facility and RT 40 to Frank Horn Field/Inez Park. Also, all hollows and sub hollows in this area. This will affect 60 customers

Following such an event the potential exists for bacteriological contamination of the water supply: therefore, this boil water advisory has been issued as a precautionary measure. Until further notice Boil all water used for drinking and cooking, bringing the water to a rolling boil for (3) minutes before using.

This advisory will remain in effect until the situation has been corrected, and the test results have shown the water to be of an acceptable quality.

Staff will be repairing a main line. Customers beginning at the top of hill from Marcus Tank to 40 W Pump Station including State Highway Garage and Saltwell may experience low pressure and/or outages.  This will include all hollows and sub hollows in this area.

If customers outside of this area experience outages or loss of pressure, please contact the office at (606) 298-3885 or use the ‘Contact Us’ tab on our website at mcub.org.

We appreciate your patience as we continue our efforts and ask that you use caution while traveling near our utility workers.

A Boil Water Advisory is in effect for the following customers: Beginning at but not including Milo Subdivision to Little Country Market to Buffalo Horn and KG Estates. This location is in Martin County Kentucky.   

This Advisory has been issued due to the following reason: Repair of a 6” main line. This affects approximately 320 customers.

Following such an event, the potential exists for bacteriological contamination of the water supply; therefore, this boil water advisory has been issued as a precautionary measure. Until further notice, boil all water used for drinking and cooking, bringing the water to a rolling boil for three (3) minutes before using.

This advisory will remain in effect until the situation has been corrected, and test results have shown the water to be of an acceptable quality.
