Sester Branch Scheduled Outage

Attention Customers:

A scheduled outage for system maintenance is in effect for the following customers: On Monday, December 23rd, 2024 customers in the Sester Branch area will temporarily be without water service as contractors will be on site to tie in water lines for the relocation project. Work will begin around 8:00 a.m. and last between 5-6 hours. We appreciate your patience as we continue our efforts and ask that you use caution while traveling near this area.

Billing Office Holiday Schedule 2024

MCWD will be closing Friday, December 20th at 11:00 a.m.

MCWD will be closing Tuesday, December 24th at 12 noon through Wednesday, December 25th. We will reopen on Thursday, December 26th.

Lead and Copper Inventory Letters

Lead and Copper Inventory Letters

Some customers will receive letters in the mail over the next couple of weeks that indicate the Water District was unable to determine the material of your service line. This was done as part of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA’s) Lead and Copper Inventory Rule Revision that every water system in the Country must do. The deadline to complete an initial lead and copper inventory was due to the State by October 16^th. The district took several measures to try and determine the material both on the District side of the meter, and the customer side as well. The second part of the rule required the district to send out letters to every customer with unknown material making them aware that their material was unknown. This does not mean that you have lead or copper service lines; just that the material currently is unknown. The district has been conducting lead and copper testing for many years, well before the implementation of the EPA’s new rule. The system has consistently remained in compliance with all state and federal water quality standards including lead and copper.

We will continue to work to identify the material. The letter provides a couple of ways in which you can help identify the material that is on your side of the meter. No other action is needed by you currently. We thank you for understanding as we work to get this completed. If you have any questions, please contact our office.

Traffic Delays for Collins Creek Line Replacement

Attention Customers:

The line replacement project for the Beauty and Lovely (Collins Creek) is scheduled to start on July 01, 2024. Once construction is started, residents on Collins Creek only will experience traffic delays between 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday. The project is expected to run for approximately 100 days and stretch until mid-September.
