A Boil Water Advisory is in effect for the following customers:
Marcus Wells pressure zone - from the top of Inez Mountain to Tomahawk, including Rockhouse, North and South Milo, Old Route 3 to Buffalo Horn, all connecting roads in between, and Upper Alpha. Also beginning at Long Branch and continuing to the end of 292.
This Advisory has been issued due to the following reason: due to freezing temperatures causing issues within the system. This affects approximately 1,000 customers.
Following such an event, the potential exists for bacteriological contamination of the water supply; therefore, this boil water advisory has been issued as a precautionary measure. Until further notice, boil all water used for drinking and cooking, bringing the water to a rolling boil for three (3) minutes before using.
This advisory will remain in effect until the situation has been corrected, and test results have shown the water to be of an acceptable quality.
